Delhi University Library Science Students' Association (DULSA) established in 1959, is a forum for professional and cultural activities of the Library and Information Science students of the University of Delhi. Its character is different from a student union. Its basic aim is to foster feelings of friendliness and co-operation and to provide forum for professional development of the students and to encourage them for various types of professional activities. It also organizes special lectures and field trips from time to time during the session
Activities of the DULSA (2009 -10)
- Organised Freshers' Party to welcome the new B.L.I.Sc. students. students on 9th September 2009.
- DULSA organised a Local academic tour to various prominent libraies in Delhi (American Resource Centre Library, IARI Library, National Archives Library, and NASSDOC Library) on 23rd October 2009.
- Organised one day Picnic to Damdama Lake, Gurgaon on 29th January 2010.
- Organised an educational tour to Jaipur, Udaipur & Ajmer in Rajasthan from14th to 9th March 2010.This tour has provided an opportunity to exchang the knowledge and culture resulting on the development of social relations between different parts of the country and also had good exposure of the practicl environment.
- Organised Farewell' Party to outgoing M.L.I.Sc. students on 21st April 2010.This is the closing celebration of the current academic session.
